Axiom for Startups terms

Eligibility, benefits, billing, and duration of the Axiom for Startups program.

These terms govern your participation in Axiom for Startups (the “Program”). They supplement the Axiom Terms of Service and form part of the applicable Service Description for Axiom Cloud. “Axiom” or “we” means Axiom, Inc. “You” means the company accepted into the Program.

These terms set out your Program benefits and participation requirements. Your use of Axiom remains subject to the Terms of Service, including your obligation to pay charges not covered by the Program.

Eligibility

To apply, your company must:

  • Be a Seed or Series A company.
  • Apply through a participating accelerator, investor or startup community.
  • Be new to paid Axiom Cloud.
  • Not have received an Axiom startup benefit before.

Companies using a free Axiom organization may apply before upgrading. Existing paid Axiom Cloud customers are not eligible.

Eligibility is assessed when we approve your application. Raising another funding round after approval does not, by itself, end your Program benefits.

Application and approval

Apply using the form on the Program page. You must be authorized to apply on your company’s behalf and provide accurate information. We may ask for information to verify your eligibility and contact the investor, accelerator, startup community or verification contact named in your application. We will share only the application information reasonably needed to confirm your eligibility. Acceptance is at Axiom’s discretion.

We’ll notify you by email if your application is approved and enable the Program for your approved Axiom organization. Your 12-month Program period begins when that organization upgrades to Axiom Cloud after approval. The platform-fee waiver and compute discount start together on that date. Approval alone does not start the 12-month period.

Benefits do not apply to usage or charges before that date.

Program benefits

During your Program period, you receive:

  • A waiver of the $25 monthly Axiom Cloud platform fee for 12 months.
  • A 30% discount on standard Data Loading and Query Compute charges, for up to 12 months or until you have received $10,000 in savings from that discount, whichever comes first.

The $10,000 limit counts only savings from the 30% startup compute discount. Included usage and the platform-fee waiver do not count toward it. Reaching the compute savings limit does not end your platform-fee waiver; that continues until the end of your 12-month Program period.

All dollar amounts in these terms are in US dollars.

Pricing and billing

Axiom Cloud’s standard included usage and volume pricing still apply. We calculate eligible Data Loading and Query Compute charges after included usage and normal volume pricing, then apply the 30% startup discount.

Storage and add-ons are not discounted by the Program and follow standard Axiom Cloud pricing. You remain responsible for charges after the Program benefits have been applied and for applicable taxes under the Terms of Service.

The startup compute discount cannot be combined with committed-use pricing or another promotional compute discount.

Organization and company limits

Benefits apply only to the Axiom organization approved for the Program. Your company may receive Program benefits only once. Creating another organization does not create a new entitlement to Program benefits.

Unused benefits cannot be exchanged for cash.

Case study and logo permission

As a condition of participating in the Program, you agree to work with Axiom on one case study about your company’s use of Axiom, if requested during your Program period. This includes making a relevant team member available for an interview and helping us verify the details. We’ll agree a reasonable timetable with you and provide the case study for your approval before publication. You will not unreasonably withhold or delay approval. We will not publish your confidential information without your written permission.

You grant Axiom a non-exclusive, royalty-free right to use your company’s name and logo to identify you as a Program participant or Axiom customer on our website, in customer lists and in marketing materials. We’ll follow any reasonable brand guidelines you provide. This permission continues after the Program ends for as long as you remain an Axiom customer. An approved case study, including the company name and logo used in it, may remain published and be used in marketing after that.

End of benefits

When you reach $10,000 in startup compute savings, the compute discount ends and standard compute pricing resumes. Your platform fee remains waived for the rest of your 12-month Program period.

At the end of the 12-month period, all Program benefits expire and standard Axiom Cloud pricing resumes, including the platform fee. The Program benefits do not renew automatically. Your Axiom subscription continues under the Terms of Service and your billing settings.

Axiom may end your participation if we reasonably determine that you provided materially false eligibility information or obtained or used Program benefits through fraud or abuse. We’ll notify you if your participation ends early. Standard pricing applies from the end of your participation.

For any other material breach of these Program terms, we may end your participation if you do not resolve the breach within 30 days after written notice.

Ending your participation does not itself close your Axiom organization or terminate your service agreement. Suspension and termination of the service remain governed by the Terms of Service. Program benefits also end if your service agreement is terminated.

Program changes

Axiom may change eligibility criteria for future applications, update these Program terms, change Program benefits or discontinue the Program. We’ll act reasonably when making changes that affect companies already approved for the Program.

We will give approved companies at least 30 days’ written notice before a change that materially reduces their benefits or ends their participation because the Program is being discontinued. Changes apply only from their effective date and do not affect benefits already applied or charges already incurred. If a change is required by law, it may take effect sooner; we will give as much notice as reasonably possible.

This section governs changes to the Program only. Changes to your service agreement remain governed by the Terms of Service.
